TESS is led by Engineer Qedindaba Khumalo, a Registered Professional Engineer and member of both the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) as well as the Project Management Institute of Zimbabwe (PMIZ), with well over 25 years of construction and project management experience.
His background spans civil, structural and building projects across industrial, mining, commercial and residential environments, with particular depth in construction supervision, contract administration and resident engineering services.
Among his career highlights, Eng Khumalo spent over a decade managing the Unki Mine Tailings Storage Facility, then under Anglo American Platinum, in conformance with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM). This direct, hands-on experience now underpins TESS’s mining and TSF safety management practice.
Eng Khumalo’s career spans from design-office experience to commissioning major infrastructure assets, including on-site and in-project leadership roles. Over the years, he has successfully coordinated multi-million-dollar projects involving multidisciplinary teams, managed risk and quality assurance systems, and overseen health, ESG and safety compliance on projects requiring strict technical and statutory discipline.
